Pump

Your pool is equipped with a 1.5 HP InteliFlo3 Variable Speed & Flow Pool Pump.

As a quick note:  The pump is below the water level of the pool.  If you open the lid to clean the filter, water will come gushing out, and you may have difficulty replacing the lid to stop it.

Before opening the lid to clean the basket, you should make sure the pump is off and isolate the pump and filter.  This is fully described in the filter tab.

In summary, close the pump inlet valve and the filter outlet valve before opening the lid.  Water in the filter may still come out – sometimes the suction created against the lid holds the water in place.  

Once done with cleaning the basket, remember to open the valves agains so the pump doesn’t run while dry.
